Chenille-It TM
See below for project ideas and a special price on Chenille-It at Sew a Stitch for the month of February 2010.
Chenille can be a fun way to create a great accent to any project. Stitch It, Wash It, You're Done!
Step 1.
Place one or two layers of Chenille-It Blooming Bias TM strip(s) onto the fabric surface.
Step 2.
Sew down the center of the strip with a straight stitch setting on your sewing machine.
Step 3.
Machine wash project on cold cycle, dry warm or spray with water and rub with a stiff brush.
It's that easy! Chenille-It comes as 40 yard rolls in a variety of colors, mix up colors for interesting effects. Use it to add embellishment and texture to baby quilts/blankets, tote bags/purses, winter scarves, pillows, rugs, etc.
Place Chenille-It strips any direction and any angle. Curved lines are a breeze and with great results. Experiment with shapes and designs.
Want to skip the binding process?? Finish the edges of your projects with Chenille-It instead. Serge or blanket stitch the edge of your project (this will prevent raveling of the straight grain). Stitch one or two layers of Chenille-It to the wrong side, then one or two layers to the right side of the projects edge. Lap the edge of the Chenille-It strip(s) just beyond the edge of the project. Wash, dry, done. Your project will have a lovely soft chenille edge, easy and fast!
Didn't quite piece that quilt accurately?? Hide imperfections with chenille strips! Place one or two layers of Chenille-It over the seam allowances. Stitch and quilt in one step, wash, dry, done.
Chenille-It can provide a cute frame for machine embroidery, applique, etc.
Stitch Chenille-ItTM to water soluble stabilizers for soft open-work chenille scarves, jackets, ponchos and more.
For the month of February 2010 Sew a Stitch is discounting Chenille-It Blooming Bias 50% OFF. This special offer is limited to stock currently in the store only.
