Beginning Smocking

Lynn Wiggers teaches this class where you will learn the function of a pleater and the basic hand stitches used in smocking.

Smocking can be incorporated in many things from garments, christmas ornaments, heirloom pillows, etc.

Future classes will instruct on more of the decorative and specialty stitches used in advanced forms of smocking.

Once you fall in love with the look of smocking and understand the basic techniques there are other educational sources and embroidery designs that can show you how it can be accomplished in a machine embroidery hoop to speed up the process that may be of interest to you for future applications.

Class Fee: $20 supplies included

Date: Saturday, July 24, 2010

Time: 10:30 - 2:30
