OUR CLASS POLICY
Pre-Registration is required for all classes and workshops:Please register at least one week prior to the class. (We will try to, but may not be able to, accommodate late registrants.) Instructors need time for materials and handouts to be prepared in time for the class or workshop and the store needs time to make sure there are enough supplies on hand for everyone. This also reduces the chance that the class will get cancelled because of lack of participation.
Payment is required at time of registration for the class/workshop.
Minimums and Cancellations. There is a minimum of two students needed for the class/workshop to be held (unless otherwise stated). In the event a class/workshop is canceled due to lack of participants or inclement weather, we will refund your registration fee via store credit or attempt to reschedule the class/workshop. Students must give four days notice prior to class/workshop to cancel their reservation and receive a refund. Alternatively you may find a friend to take your place.
Supplies need to be purchased from Sew A Stitch no later than the day before the class/workshop. We greatly appreciate your purchasing class supplies from Sew A Stitch. We strive to give you the best prices every day. By purchasing your supplies from Sew a Stitch you help pay for the classroom space and the utilities used to run machines and appliances. We thank you for your patronage.
We will gladly help you choose fabrics, threads and other supplies if you would like.
You may be required to pre-cut fabrics ahead of time to make best use of the time allotted for the class/workshop. If so, this will be stated on your supply list.
Let’s be respectful of Copyright Laws:
We do not allow the sharing of books, patterns and handouts in our store as this is a violation of copyright laws. If you have questions regarding copyright laws please go to www.copyright.gov for more information.
Bring your own sewing machine (or serger) in good working order:
Unless otherwise indicated, the classes are for sewers that know basic sewing techniques and know how to operate their sewing machine. Please be courteous and bring your machine in operating condition to allow the instructors to complete the class on schedule. If your machine is in need of repair please schedule with our Service and Repair department well in advance. Sorry, repairs cannot be made during class. We do not have rentals available.
To protect students, instructors, employees etc., we reserve the right to deny or terminate class enrollment of any person for any reason. We value our teachers, students and their time. This policy is written to support you, the instructors, and your fellow students.
